The Sevdah Foundation is an association of music professionals and creators dedicated to preserving and nurturing the Bosnian folk music tradition of Sevdalinka. Young people, determination, knowledge, and enthusiasm are the main resources and the driving forces at the center of their work.
Drawing inspiration from the Musicians Hall of Fame, Will Richard, an American, started the creation of the EX-Yugo Rock Center (EYRC) in Sarajevo. The aim of EYRC is to honor and celebrate Yugoslav Rock and Roll as well as the contemporary music scene in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
Amila Ramović, assistant professor at the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, talks to Balkan Diskurs about critical thinking through art.
