Sophie recently graduated from Friedrich-Schiller University Jena receiving a BA in German Language & Literature Studies and in Studies of Religion. Her primary topics of interest include cultural and religious diversity and the role of religion in inter-ethnic conflicts. She has experience in the fields of intercultural communication, cultural management, youth education, public relations, and grant writing. During her undergraduate studies she worked as an assistant and tutor at the Chair for Religious Studies at University Jena and as an intern at interculture.de e.V., an association that promotes the development of intercultural skills among public authorities. In addition, Sophie is a participant of Dialogue Perspectives, a scholarship program organized by the Ernst-Ludwig-Ehrlich Studienwerk that explores new approaches to positive interreligious relations. Sophie plans to continue her focus on religious diversity and interreligious dynamics through her Masters Program in the Studies of Religion that commences in October 2017.
