Amer is a student of criminal pyschology at Clark Unoversity, Massachusetts. His interests are social and clinical-psychological phenomena in a post-conflict context. He is particularly interested in concepts related to integrated trauma, intergroup conflict, and the reconstruction of collective trauma through oral testimony. He has wanted to return to BiH ever since he had visited Banja Luka, his parents’ hometown. This inspired him to try to develop an understanding of the social and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After completing his studies, Amer plans to pursue a master’s degree in international development and social change.
