“The Love Tales” and “MIR” – Shifting Creative Boundaries and Social Narratives
In honor of International Peace Day, the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) opened the exhibition “The Love Tales,” which presents a photo-story about multi-ethnic relationships and marriages from different cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, PCRC launched MIR [Peace] Magazine, a platform which enables young people to push creative and social boundaries in our country.
Judicial Legacies: The Siege of Sarajevo and Crimes Committed in Serb-Controlled Municipalities
The Sarajevo Canton Memorial Fund and the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) recently released a scientific report entitled “The Siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1995,” based upon the relevant court judgements. It documents the sniping and shelling of the city as well as the war crimes committed in eight municipalities, with the aim of promoting greater acceptance of judicially established facts and countering the denial of the crimes carried out against Sarajevo civilians.
“Kapija ‘95” – The Truth and the Imperatives of Prosecution and Honoring Victims
The documentary film “Kapija ‘95” premiered in Tuzla, where on the evening of May 25th, 1995, the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS) fired a grenade into the center of the city, killing 71 young people and wounding 150 more. The film underscored compassion for the victims, persistence on the path of the truth, and the necessity of prosecuting those responsible for this terrible crime.
“Srebrenica Heroines:” Persistency and Determination in the Fight for Truth
Witnesses, fighters, and heroines are the words used to describe the mothers and women of Srebrenica. For 27 years, they fought for the truth, the existence of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, to find the remains of their loved ones, and to punish the perpetrators of the most terrible crimes.
Srebrenica Youth School – The path to multicultural understanding
The third edition of the Srebrenica Youth School, which was held as part of the 27th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, was characterized by participants as a useful and educational experience.
Remembering the Srebrenica Genocide in Tuzla
In the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla, the exhibition “Genocide in Srebrenica Through Legal Judgements” was opened as part of Srebrenica Genocide Remembrance Day. The exhibition is a part of the joint research project of the Srebrenica Memorial Center and the Post-Conflict Research Center.
