Lejla is a student at Carleton College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics with concentrations in Public Policy and European Studies. She holds leadership positions in many student-led organizations such as Questbridge, where she serves as a Co-President and the Food Recovery Network, where she serves as a Program Lead. She also dedicates her time to volunteering at elementary schools and immigrant initiatives. Her interest in human rights and international affairs is motivated by her parents being Bosnian genocide survivors, and her desire to give back to her Bosnian culture. She plans to pursue a future career in economic development and peacebuilding.
