Theresa is a Master’s student in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Kent and the Philipps University of Marburg. Prior to her Master’s studies, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in History at Utrecht University with a major in International Relations and Conflict Studies, where she wrote her thesis on the accessibility of reparations for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her fields of interest and research are post-conflict memorialisation, gendered experiences of peace and conflict, and survivor-centred transitional justice. Beyond this, she is passionate about issues of gender, intersectionality, and decolonisation. She aspires to a career in the field of post-conflict research after gaining experience in NGO work, local research, and fieldwork.
