23 years since the end of the Bosnian war, Mostar is still feeling the effects of poverty. Two service centers, the Red Cross soup kitchen and the Meal Center, have stepped up to provide food and basic necessities for people in need.
The NGO Center for Children, Youth and Family in Laktaši has been working for 14 years to build a responsible and active civil society by promoting values and social cohesion in their community and offers children and their parents access to leisure activities through informal creative and recreational education.
Sex is everywhere you look, from fashion magazines to movies, but young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) still know very little about how to have a responsible sex life. Discussions on the topic still cause shame, discomfort, and embarrassment stemming from a sense of the subject’s ‘immorality.’
As long as they continue to work together to create music, works of art and culture, and theatrical performances, they will bring back the real “Mostar identity” – an identity that belongs to everyone.

It is very difficult to say whether those who take lives are somewhere around us or far away. In order to avoid doubt about that, experts consider that we need coordinated action and more government engagement.
