Sung Jin Park, M.A., is a research and teaching fellow at the Chair of International Relations, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany. He is currently working on his PhD dissertation, Politics of Memory in Post-Conflict Societies. His research seeks to provide a systematic political explanation for why post-conflict states adopt different modes of conflict remembrance through a comparative analysis of four empirical cases. He has conducted fieldwork in Nepal and Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of his doctoral research. Beyond his PhD project, his research interests include international patron–client relations, post-conflict transitional justice, and the reintegration of child soldiers.
