Media Literacy of Youth and Resistance to Media Manipulation

The Post-Conflict Research Center is proud to present this video that aims to raise awareness about the lack of media integrity and transparency in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This video was developed during the youth workshop “Media Literacy and Resisting Manipulation”, which was attended by 15 young people from across the country. Balkan Diskurs activities are supported by the Center for Independent Journalism Budapest (CIJ) under the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and Rising Voices.

The use of the internet, that is, social media, has become an everyday thing. According to research, this can lead to addiction and have other negative consequences on mental health, especially in young people and children. Experts recommend that parents find the line between positive and negative internet use, set boundaries, talk to their children, and if necessary, seek professional help to solve serious problems.
