Media Literacy of Youth and Resistance to Media Manipulation

The Post-Conflict Research Center is proud to present this video that aims to raise awareness about the lack of media integrity and transparency in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This video was developed during the youth workshop “Media Literacy and Resisting Manipulation”, which was attended by 15 young people from across the country. Balkan Diskurs activities are supported by the Center for Independent Journalism Budapest (CIJ) under the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and Rising Voices.

Portraits and Scarves of the Mothers of Srebrenica: Testaments to the Fight for Truth, Justice, and Accountability

As part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, the exhibition Majke/Mothers and the art installation Mother’s Scarf were held at the Sarajevo City Hall from July 7th to 14th.

The Young Woman from Konjic Breaking World Weightlifting Records

Twenty-five-year-old Samra Alebić from Konjic has been breaking world records and winning gold medals as the top competitor from Bosnia and Herzegovina in powerlifting—a sport that includes three disciplines: squatting, bench press, and deadlifting. With daily training, this young journalist and writer is able to lift 185 kilos, destroying prejudices that only men are strong.
