Sreya is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Leiden University College, majoring in International Justice, where she is involved in several organizations for student advocacy and activism including the Hague Union of Students’ (HUS) Support and Actions committees and the Diversity and Inclusion Student Committee (DISC). Her involvement in student organizing and grassroots movement led her to identify strongly with the Post-Conflict Research Centre’s mission to support local, grassroots movements and organizations to foster peace within the Western Balkans. After completing her undergraduate studies, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in human rights and humanitarian affairs and work in international human rights law.

“The Veto,” a 58-minute documentary made by director Tim Slade last year, premiered at the Sarajevo Kino Meeting Point this June. The film addresses the long-debated topic of the veto power: the exclusive right of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to block any resolution unilaterally.
